back by popular demand

since i'm bored at work and trying to kill time on a late Friday afternoon, i shall describe how i had to endure 6 minutes of nerve-wreck this morning.

first and foremost, if you haven't heard about the American Express Wishlist contest, then you definitely have to check it out AMEX WishList.

this morning's wishlist item was a 7 Night Luxury Caribbean Regent Cruise for 2... $1800 [Claimed Retail Value: $9590]. Quantity available up for grabs? 10. More details of package here: Cruise

anyhow, at exactly 9AM, for fun, i attempted to get one... which to my surprise, i WON. a window pops up asking for billing and shipping info. i had 6 minutes to complete the transaction or else forfeit the item.

it sounds like such a good deal, yet i have no idea if i even have time to take advantage of it. i had to come to a decision in the short amount of time allocated. it was painful. i eventually came to the conclusion that i don't want to fork another grand out for airfares and hotel stay. so basically i let the time expire and cancelled the transaction. i then decided to try to get it again and it was sold out.

so the aftermath, i was shocked that i was one of the first 10 ppl who got in. now i'm hopeful for Monday morning... 2007 Cayman Porsche Coupe for $5000. Quantity Available: 1 per timeslot [9am, 12pm, 4pm]. Wish me luck!
